Museo Civico Palazzo Guicciardini [Palazzo Guicciardini Civic Museum]
Opened in March 2004, the Montopoli Museum proposes to document the history and culture of the territory. It is divided into 5 different sections, with clear explanatory panels: the section dedicated to archaeology, with the Falchi and Majnoni collections; the section relevant to memories of the territory, enriched by religious furnishings and architectural objects coming from the Rocca, the fortress destroyed in World War II; the hall consecrated to Milani terracotta, a characteristic local production in antique style from the early 20th century; the paleontological section that numbers, among the fossil findings, the skeleton of a whale found in the area in the mid-nineteenth century; and lastly, the Pinacoteca, with works by local painters active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
