Raccolta Museale "Mario Nadotti" ["Mario Nadotti" Museum Collection]

The Museum was founded in 1981 in the former stalls and cellars of the priest's house of the Lusignana church, thanks to the research and salvaging carried out by Mario Nadotti and Don Fortunato Cavelini in the town and its surrounding areas. The collection consists of objects from religious life and from peasant life. The ethnographic collection, which documents the rural traditions of the area, contains agricultural tools, implements for making butter and cheese, for weaving and for domestic activities, as well as utensils used by shoemakers and knife-grinders and machinery for working wood and wicker. The objects date from the 19th and 20th centuries. The Museum is run by volunteers from the Gruppo Sportivo e Culturale Lusignana [Lusignana Sports and Cultural Activities Group], in collaboration with the Lunigiana "Legambiente" Circle, which is responsible for the activities of conservation and restoration.
