Villa il Casale
The fourteenth-century villa was transferred to the Carlini family, originally from the Valdelsa, who refurbished in the 16th century. A guest of the Carlini, painter Giovanni da San Giovanni painted the frescoes in the halls and chapel. Cesare Carlini (perhaps a component of the family who owned the villa) authored four marble sundials, two with Babylonian hours and two with Italic hours, dating to the early 17th century.
