Rule composed of four brass bars hinged together to form a folding ruler. Two of the bars could form a triangle from whose vertex hangs a plumb bob. The user could read gradients and levels thanks to the degree scale marked on the first bar. The instrument, designed for military use, could serve as a gunner's level. Because of its design, it can be attributed to Christoph Schissler. Provenance: Medici collections.
