Culpeper-type compound microscope, named after the innovations introduced by Edmund Culpeper. The body-tube is supported by three curved arms with the disk stage at its center. The round base carries the illumination mirror. Focusing is by sliding the body-tube inside the support cylinder. The all-brass instrument is housed in a typical pyramid-shaped wooden box. Accessories include four objectives.
