The dial has an iron bottom, oversized brass hour circle, black Roman hour numerals, and markings for quarter-hours and half-hours. The hand is a replacement. The central part has a painted decoration showing two putti holding up a flower wreath over a large villa. The hole above VI hours is to insert a key for setting the chime. The two trains are driven by weights with ropes. The verge escapement has a horizontal contrate wheel and a pendulum rod integral with the verge. The chime is controlled by a six-stroke regulator with repeater. The exceptionally long hammer axle indicates that the clock was housed in an Italian case and that the bell was placed well above the window on the dial, probably inside the pediment.
