Simple galvanometer for checking the flow of current in telegraph lines and electric circuits. Comprises a veneered mahogany base with two brass terminals, a contact key, a silvered scale with the zero in the central position, a magnetic needle, and a screw for clamping the needle when the instrument is not in use. The needle is unbalanced so that it automatically returns to zero in the middle of the scale.
