Kudurru of Melišipak, 1186-1172 B.C.

These documents, which are found in Mesopotamia from the end of the 4th millennium B.C., usually record allocations of land. The Kudurru on display also mentions the donation of an estate. In the upper register we can see 18 heavenly beings and signs including the disc of the Sun, the scythe of the crescent Moon, the eight-point star and the thunderbolt.
