Farmacia Centrale di Arezzo [Arezzo Central Pharmacy]

The pharmacy, founded in 1904, still conserves the furniture built in 1919 by the craftsman D'Anelon, made of fir wood painted cream colour. The glass-fronted cabinets are decorated with slender pilasters topped by a false lintel and frame. The two doors at the ends of the back wall, leading to the back room, are surmounted by a seashell decoration and frame a large mirror. Above the shelves is a big round clock supported at the sides by two dragons. Particularly interesting are the 140 or so urn-shaped pharmaceutical jars with plant decorations dating from the late 19th century.
