Refracting telescope with terrestrial mount consisting of a brass tube blackened internally. The objective has an aperture of 95 mm and a focal length of 1,600 mm. The eyepiece has a magnification of 50. The instrument allows altazimuth movements. There is a level and a finder. Giovanni Battista Donati used the telescope in Torreblanca (Spain) to measure the height of solar prominences during the total eclipse of July 18, 1860. Signed Dollond.
